I've never thought of myself as a designer (maybe because I didn’t go to school for it). But throughout my career I’ve been met with plenty of design challenges and opportunities that have defined an array of engaging spaces. My first hand in building out a retail space occurred in 2006, with the opening of the new Green Lake Jewelry Works studio in Seattle. From there I renovated a retail space into an inviting restaurant, which later led me to do a few more of these kind of projects in China. I eventually returned to Green Lake Jewelry Works to help design and build the company’s Bellevue studio.
